Plain English Summary

Gisele's Pixels does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Photos you take stay on your device and are sent directly to our AI provider for analysis — they are not stored by us. Your scan history, saved items, collections, and price alerts are stored locally on your device only.

This Privacy Policy explains how Gisele's Pixels ("the App," "we," "us") handles information when you use our visual product discovery service. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

📷 Photos and Images

When you scan an object, the image is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for visual analysis. This transmission is used solely to identify the object in your photo.

Images are not stored by Gisele's Pixels on any server
Images are not associated with your identity
Images are processed by Anthropic under their privacy policy

🔍 Search Queries

When we search for purchase links, a product description derived from your photo is sent to a web search service. This query contains no personal information — only a product description (e.g., "blue ceramic coffee mug buy online").

💾 Data Stored on Your Device

All of the following is stored locally in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to our servers:

Scan history (product names, dates, link counts)
Saved items and collections
Price alerts you have set
Price history for products you have scanned
App preferences (dark mode, etc.)

      You can clear all locally stored data at any time from Settings → Clear Scan History and Settings → Clear Saved Items. Clearing your browser data also removes all App data.
    

☁️ Data Stored on Our Servers

Our Cloudflare Worker stores the following — keyed by an anonymous session ID generated on your device, never linked to your identity:

Price history observations (product name, price, retailer, date)
Price alert thresholds you have set
Rate limiting counters (reset every minute)

No name, email address, phone number, location, or device identifier is ever stored on our servers.

🔗 Purchase Links and Third Parties

When you tap a purchase link, you are navigated to a third-party retailer (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, etc.). Those sites have their own privacy policies and data practices. Gisele's Pixels does not receive any information about purchases you make, and we do not use affiliate links or receive commissions.

🍪 Cookies and Tracking

Gisele's Pixels does not use cookies, advertising trackers, analytics SDKs, or any third-party tracking technology. There are no ads in the App. We do not sell data to advertisers.

👶 Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used the App and you have concerns, contact us at the address below.

🌍 Data Transfers

Images you scan are processed by Anthropic, which operates in the United States. By using the App you consent to this processing. Price and alert data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which operates globally.

✏️ Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be noted in the App. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
